Getting Around Korea

Buy a card
Available at any convenience store (GS25, CU, 7-Eleven, Emart24) for β‚©2,500–3,000. Ask for "ν‹°λ¨Έλ‹ˆ μΉ΄λ“œ".

Charge at the store
Hand cash to the cashier and say "μΆ©μ „ν•΄μ£Όμ„Έμš” (chung-jeon-hae-ju-se-yo)". Minimum β‚©1,000, max β‚©500,000.

Charge at subway stations
Use the T-money charging machines (yellow machines) at any subway station. Insert cash and tap your card.

Check your balance
Tap your card on the reader at any convenience store or subway turnstile to see your balance.
πŸ’‘ Transfers between subway and bus are free within 30 minutes when using T-money.
