Privacy Policy

We collect the following categories of personal information during registration, profile creation, and use of the Service.

Common to all members: email address, password (stored encrypted), name, date of birth, phone number, nationality, account type (Teacher / Hagwon / Guest).

• Teacher members: visa status, current location, gender, preferred work location(s)/age group(s)/salary, education, certifications, work experience (employer, position, period, responsibilities, reason for leaving), reference information (name, position, relationship, phone number), profile photo, resume file, and answers regarding passport validity and apostille document status.
• Hagwon members: school name, contact person's name and phone number, business registration number, school address, website.
• Guest members: name, date of birth, phone number, address, nationality, current occupation.

Automatically collected information: IP address, access timestamps, service usage logs, cookies.

• Verifying registration intent and identifying members
• Matching teachers with hagwons, arranging interviews, and providing video interview services
• Providing Meet Up, Marketplace, Housing Exchange, and community board features
• Sending notices, email verification, and notifications
• Preventing fraud and maintaining service security
• Statistical analysis for service improvement (using de-identified data)

As a general rule, we destroy personal information without delay once the purpose of collection has been fulfilled, or upon a user's request to delete their account.

However, where retention is required under applicable law, we retain the relevant information for the period required by that law.

We do not provide personal information to external parties, except in the following cases:

• Where a Teacher member has agreed to "Profile Visibility Consent," in which case profile information (name, experience, subjects, visa type, availability, etc.) is shown to Hagwon members — this disclosure is a core function of the hiring-matching service itself.
• Where the user has given separate prior consent.
• Where required by law, or requested by an investigative authority following the procedures prescribed by law.

To provide the Service reliably, we outsource certain personal information processing tasks to the following external providers, under agreements that require them to safeguard personal information in accordance with applicable law:

• Vercel Inc. — website hosting and deployment
• Supabase — database hosting and management
• Resend — sending verification and notification emails
• Daily.co — video interview functionality
• UploadThing / Vercel Blob — storage of resumes, profile photos, and other uploaded files
• Sentry — error monitoring (technical information such as error messages and device/browser environment may be automatically collected when an error occurs)

Users may at any time request to view, correct, or delete their personal information, or request that its processing be suspended. These rights can be exercised through account settings or by contacting the Data Protection Officer listed below; the Company will act on such requests without undue delay.

Once the retention period has elapsed or the purpose of processing has been achieved, electronic files are permanently deleted using methods that prevent recovery, and other records are shredded or incinerated.

The Company uses browser local storage and cookies for user convenience, such as remembering your language preference (EN/KO) and whether a promotional banner has been dismissed. You may refuse cookies through your browser settings, though this may limit some features of the Service.

• Passwords are stored using a one-way encryption method (bcrypt) that cannot be decrypted.
• Access to personal information is limited to a minimal number of staff, with managed access controls.
• All communication with the Service is encrypted via HTTPS.

This Privacy Policy is effective as of July 29, 2026. If material changes are made, they will be announced through an in-service notice at least 7 days before taking effect.
