StayWorks ("the Company") values the personal information of its users and complies with applicable Korean data protection laws, including the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how it is used, and what measures we take to protect it.
We collect the following categories of personal information during registration, profile creation, and use of the Service.
Common to all members: email address, password (stored encrypted), name, date of birth, phone number, nationality, account type (Teacher / Hagwon / Guest).
Automatically collected information: IP address, access timestamps, service usage logs, cookies.
As a general rule, we destroy personal information without delay once the purpose of collection has been fulfilled, or upon a user's request to delete their account.
However, where retention is required under applicable law, we retain the relevant information for the period required by that law.
We do not provide personal information to external parties, except in the following cases:
To provide the Service reliably, we outsource certain personal information processing tasks to the following external providers, under agreements that require them to safeguard personal information in accordance with applicable law:
Users may at any time request to view, correct, or delete their personal information, or request that its processing be suspended. These rights can be exercised through account settings or by contacting the Data Protection Officer listed below; the Company will act on such requests without undue delay.
Once the retention period has elapsed or the purpose of processing has been achieved, electronic files are permanently deleted using methods that prevent recovery, and other records are shredded or incinerated.
The Company uses browser local storage and cookies for user convenience, such as remembering your language preference (EN/KO) and whether a promotional banner has been dismissed. You may refuse cookies through your browser settings, though this may limit some features of the Service.
